What is an NVR?
AN NVR, or Network Video Recorder, is a device that "connects" to an IP device,
such as an IP Camera or an IP Server (which is then connected to an analog
camera) and allows the camera(s) to be managed, recorded, played back, streamed,
etc. A "traditional" DVR (Digital Video Recorder) does the same thing with
analog cameras. Newer systems can be "HYBRID" allowing for both analog AND IP
cameras to be connected.
There is a lot of "noise" out there today, concerning MEGA-PIXEL IP cameras.
